Cameroon currently has two large interconnected networks: the South Interconnected Network (RIS) and the North Interconnected Network (RIN). The RIS serves the southern part with electricity, ie six administrative regions, notably the Center, the Littoral, the South, the South-West, the West and the North-West. The RIN serves the northern part, namely three administrative regions: Adamaoua, the Far North and the North.

Electricity is transported at three voltage levels:

- 225 kV only in the RIS;

- 110 kV in the RIN;

- 90 kV in the RIS and the RIN.

In 2013, the line lengths in accordance with the different voltage levels above were quantified as presented in Table 3 below:
